Rigorous Medical Education and Training

Dr. William Frazier earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, an institution renowned for its rigorous curriculum and emphasis on clinical excellence. During his undergraduate medical education, he distinguished himself through a combination of scholarly research, leadership in student organizations, and a series of honors that underscored his commitment to both academic rigor and compassionate patient care. His capstone research project, which investigated the molecular pathways of wound healing in pediatric patients, was published in a peer‑reviewed journal and laid the groundwork for his later interest in regenerative techniques within plastic surgery. The comprehensive training he received at UF—spanning anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical rotations across multiple specialties—provided a solid foundation for his subsequent surgical pursuits and instilled a disciplined approach to evidence‑based medicine.

Following medical school, Dr. Frazier pursued a General Surgery Residency at the University of Miami, a program celebrated for its high volume of complex cases and its integration of innovative minimally invasive techniques. Over the course of five intensive years, he refined his operative dexterity, mastering procedures ranging from emergent trauma repairs to intricate abdominal reconstructions. His residency experience was marked by a series of accolades, including the Resident Teaching Excellence Award and multiple presentations at national surgical conferences. In addition to honing his technical skills, Dr. Frazier cultivated a deep appreciation for multidisciplinary teamwork, collaborating closely with anesthesiologists, intensivists, and radiologists to optimize peri‑operative outcomes. This period also saw him engage in groundbreaking research on the use of bio‑engineered scaffolds for abdominal wall reconstruction, an endeavor that earned him a prestigious fellowship grant.

The apex of Dr. Frazier’s postgraduate training was his Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where he was mentored by some of the most influential figures in contemporary reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The fellowship, conducted at a leading academic medical center affiliated with Harvard, offered unparalleled exposure to high‑complexity cases, including microsurgical free‑flap transfers, craniofacial reconstruction, and advanced facial rejuvenation techniques. Dr. Frazier’s time at Harvard was distinguished by his participation in the Harvard Plastic Surgery Research Initiative, where he contributed to a landmark study on the long‑term outcomes of autologous fat grafting, a study that subsequently informed new consensus guidelines. Moreover, his fellowship experience reinforced a commitment to scholarly dissemination, as he authored multiple peer‑reviewed articles and delivered invited lectures that explored the intersection of technology, aesthetics, and patient safety. This elite training equipped Dr. Frazier with the expertise, confidence, and scholarly foundation that now define his practice in Vero Beach.

Dr. William Frazier’s aesthetic plastic surgery repertoire is expansive, encompassing facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and breast aesthetic procedures that are tailored to the unique anatomical and aesthetic goals of each patient. In facial surgery, he is renowned for his mastery of rhinoplasty, where his precise cartilaginous sculpting techniques achieve harmonious nasal profiles while preserving functional airflow. His expertise extends to facelifts, blepharoplasties, and chin augmentations, each performed with an emphasis on minimal invasiveness and maximal natural results. Dr. Frazier’s approach to body contouring includes advanced liposuction methods, such as power‑assist and ultrasound‑assisted technologies, as well as comprehensive abdominoplasty procedures that integrate meticulous fascial tightening and strategic scar placement. His breast aesthetic work, ranging from augmentation and lift to reduction and mastopexy, is distinguished by his commitment to preserving nipple‑areolar complex viability, achieving symmetry, and ensuring long‑term durability of results. Across all aesthetic interventions, Dr. Frazier utilizes a refined blend of surgical artistry and cutting‑edge technology to deliver outcomes that enhance both appearance and self‑confidence.

In the realm of reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Frazier’s skill set encompasses a broad spectrum of complex procedures that restore form, function, and quality of life for patients facing trauma, oncologic resections, and congenital anomalies. His experience in microsurgical free‑flap reconstruction includes the transfer of vascularized tissue from donor sites such as the anterolateral thigh, radial forearm, and deep inferior epigastric artery to address extensive soft‑tissue defects of the head and neck, extremities, and trunk. Dr. Frazier’s meticulous attention to vascular anastomosis and flap monitoring has yielded consistently high success rates and reduced postoperative complications. Additionally, he specializes in breast reconstruction following mastectomy, offering both implant‑based and autologous options, and employing techniques such as the DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap to achieve natural‑looking results with minimal donor‑site morbidity. His reconstructive portfolio also includes burn contracture release, scar revision, and craniofacial reconstruction, where he collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Complementing his aesthetic and reconstructive expertise, Dr. Frazier maintains a robust foundation in general surgery, which informs his comprehensive understanding of patient physiology and peri‑operative management. His proficiency in general surgical principles allows him to seamlessly navigate complex cases that may require combined operative strategies, such as simultaneous tumor excision and reconstructive flap placement. Dr. Frazier’s general surgical background also enhances his ability to manage intra‑operative challenges, optimize hemostasis, and implement evidence‑based protocols for infection control and postoperative pain management. By integrating the precision of plastic surgery with the broader perspective of general surgery, he ensures that each operative plan is both technically sound and aligned with the patient’s overall health status. This dual expertise not only enriches his surgical repertoire but also positions him as a versatile surgeon capable of delivering holistic, patient‑centric care.
