Beyond the classroom, Dr. Anain completed clinical rotations across multiple specialties, gaining a comprehensive understanding of systemic health, which later proved invaluable when evaluating patients for complex reconstructive procedures.

Following medical school, Dr. Anain pursued a residency in Plastic Surgery at the University at Buffalo, a program celebrated for its blend of academic rigor and hands‑on surgical experience. During her six‑year residency, she rotated through high‑volume trauma centers, cosmetic clinics, and academic research labs, allowing her to master both reconstructive and aesthetic facets of the specialty. She performed thousands of procedures ranging from microsurgical free‑flap reconstructions to facial rejuvenation, honing a keen eye for symmetry, proportion, and functional restoration. Her mentors at Buffalo recognized her innate dexterity, leadership qualities, and unwavering dedication, often selecting her to lead multidisciplinary case conferences and to mentor junior residents.

In addition to her formal training, Dr. Anain continued to refine her expertise through fellowship opportunities and specialized workshops. She attended advanced courses in facial aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and laser technologies, earning certifications that attest to her mastery of contemporary techniques. She is renowned for facial rejuvenation techniques, including rhytidectomy (facelift), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and brow lifts, which combine precise tissue handling with innovative tension‑free suturing methods to achieve natural, long‑lasting results. Her expertise extends to body contouring, where she offers abdominoplasty, liposuction, and thigh lifts, employing advanced liposuction technologies that minimize trauma and enhance postoperative recovery. Patients consistently commend her ability to sculpt harmonious silhouettes while preserving functional integrity and skin viability.

In addition to surgical interventions, Dr. Anain is a certified practitioner of Botox® injections and dermal filler placement, offering minimally invasive solutions for facial lines, volume loss, and dynamic muscle modulation. She utilizes a strategic, anatomy‑driven injection protocol that maximizes efficacy while minimizing adverse events, a practice refined through years of hands‑on experience and continuous education. Her nuanced approach to neuromodulators and fillers allows her to address both subtle aging concerns and more pronounced aesthetic goals, providing patients with a seamless continuum of care that can range from non‑surgical rejuvenation to full‑scale operative transformation.

Reconstructive surgery forms a cornerstone of Dr. Anain’s practice, reflecting her commitment to restoring form and function for patients who have endured trauma, oncologic resections, or congenital anomalies. She specializes in complex breast reconstruction, employing autologous tissue techniques such as the DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap to achieve natural‑looking results with reduced donor‑site morbidity. Her expertise in microsurgical free‑tissue transfer, craniofacial reconstruction, and scar revision demonstrates a mastery of intricate vascular anastomoses and tissue handling. By integrating cutting‑edge regenerative technologies, such as platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) and stem‑cell enriched fat grafting, Dr. Anain enhances wound healing, reduces fibrosis, and improves aesthetic outcomes for her reconstructive patients.
