Dr. Sunder earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine, where she distinguished herself as a scholar with a keen interest in head and neck anatomy. At UCLA, she immersed herself in rigorous coursework that integrated clinical rotations with research initiatives, laying a solid foundation in surgical principles and patient care. Her academic excellence was recognized with multiple honors, including the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence, reflecting her early commitment to both the science and the humanity of medicine.
Following medical school, Dr. Sunder pursued a residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Southern California (USC), a program renowned for its comprehensive exposure to complex airway, sinus, and facial procedures. During her residency, she honed her operative dexterity through high‑volume surgical experiences, mastering both open and endoscopic techniques. She also contributed to pioneering research on postoperative wound healing, publishing findings that have informed contemporary protocols for scar management and tissue regeneration. Her leadership abilities emerged as she mentored junior residents, fostering an environment of collaborative learning and mutual respect.
To further specialize, Dr. Sunder completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami, a center of excellence that emphasized aesthetic refinement and reconstructive innovation. Under the mentorship of internationally recognized surgeons, she refined her expertise in rhinoplasty, facelifts, and facial rejuvenation, integrating advanced technologies such as 3‑D imaging and computer‑assisted surgical planning. The fellowship also provided exposure to complex reconstructive cases, including trauma and oncologic reconstructions, solidifying her reputation as a surgeon capable of delivering both functional restoration and aesthetic excellence. Upon completion, she emerged with a comprehensive skill set that uniquely positions her to address the nuanced needs of a discerning Beverly Hills clientele.
Surgical Expertise
Dr. Sunder’s surgical repertoire centers on facial plastic surgery, a discipline that demands a delicate balance between artistic vision and meticulous technical execution. She approaches each case as a sculptor, meticulously analyzing facial proportions, skeletal structure, and soft‑tissue dynamics to devise a plan that enhances natural beauty while preserving individuality. Her portfolio includes transformative rhinoplasties that address both aesthetic concerns and functional breathing issues, employing a patient‑specific approach that may incorporate cartilage grafting, tip refinement, and dorsal augmentation to achieve harmonious results.
Facelifts represent another cornerstone of Dr. Sunder’s practice, where she utilizes both traditional and minimally invasive techniques to restore youthful contour while minimizing downtime. By tailoring the depth of tissue dissection, vector of lift, and placement of fixation devices to each patient’s unique anatomy, she achieves enduring rejuvenation with a natural appearance. Her expertise extends to blepharoplasty, where precise excision of excess skin, fat, and muscle corrects drooping eyelids and periorbital hollowness, delivering refreshed, well‑rested eyes that reflect inner vitality.
Beyond these signature procedures, Dr. Sunder excels in comprehensive facial rejuvenation, integrating adjunctive treatments such as fat grafting, laser resurfacing, and injectable volumizers to address the multifactorial nature of aging. She adopts a multimodal strategy that synergistically combines surgical and non‑surgical modalities, ensuring that patients receive a cohesive plan that maximizes results while respecting their aesthetic goals and recovery preferences. Her commitment to outcome-driven care is reflected in the consistently high satisfaction rates reported by her patients, many of whom attest to the seamless blend of artistry and science that defines her surgical philosophy.
