Throughout her medical school tenure, she distinguished herself academically, graduating with honors and receiving multiple awards for research excellence. Her dissertation, which explored the molecular mechanisms of wound healing in facial reconstructive surgery, was subsequently published in a peer‑reviewed journal, underscoring her early commitment to advancing the field through scholarly inquiry. The demanding environment of Corporate Medical College honed her analytical skills, fostered a deep appreciation for evidence‑based medicine, and laid the groundwork for her future specialization in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

Following medical school, Dr. Pooja pursued a comprehensive residency in Family Medicine at West Jersey Memorial, a training ground celebrated for its emphasis on comprehensive patient care and community health. This residency, housed within the Virtua Health system, offered a uniquely diverse patient population, exposing her to a broad spectrum of medical conditions ranging from chronic disease management to acute surgical interventions. During her three‑year tenure, she mastered the art of diagnostic precision, cultivated a nuanced understanding of patient communication, and refined her procedural skills through hands‑on experience with minor surgical techniques, dermatologic procedures, and preventive health strategies. The breadth of this training equipped her with the versatility required to address the multifaceted needs of patients seeking both functional and aesthetic enhancements.

In addition to her formal residency, Dr. Pooja completed a series of advanced fellowships that deepened her expertise in aesthetic medicine and laser dermatology. These fellowships, conducted at leading academic centers, provided intensive exposure to the latest technologies in non‑invasive skin resurfacing, photodynamic therapy, and volumetric filler techniques. She earned certification in laser safety and advanced aesthetic procedures, ensuring that her practice adheres to the highest standards of clinical excellence. Throughout this period, she also contributed to several clinical trials investigating novel laser wavelengths and their efficacy in scar remodeling, further cementing her reputation as a forward‑thinking physician who bridges the gap between research and patient care.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Pooja’s surgical repertoire is anchored in a robust foundation of Family Medicine, which equips her with a comprehensive understanding of overall health and the interplay between systemic conditions and aesthetic outcomes. This background enables her to assess patients holistically, taking into account factors such as hormonal balance, metabolic health, and cardiovascular status before embarking on any surgical plan. Her family medicine training also instilled a deep appreciation for preventive care, allowing her to counsel patients on lifestyle modifications that can enhance postoperative healing, reduce complications, and prolong the longevity of aesthetic results. By integrating these principles into her plastic surgery practice, Dr. Pooja delivers outcomes that are not only visually striking but also fundamentally aligned with each patient’s long‑term well‑being.

In the realm of Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Pooja has mastered a wide array of procedures ranging from facial rejuvenation to body contouring. Her expertise includes rhinoplasty, facelifts, breast augmentation, and liposuction, each performed with meticulous attention to anatomical detail and an artist’s eye for proportion. She employs the latest minimally invasive techniques, such as endoscopic brow lifts and ultrasonography‑guided fat grafting, which reduce operative time, minimize scarring, and accelerate recovery. Her commitment to staying at the forefront of aesthetic innovation is reflected in her frequent participation in international conferences, where she exchanges insights with peers and brings back emerging best practices to her Mullica Hill clinic. This dedication ensures that patients receive cutting‑edge care that balances safety with the pursuit of natural, harmonious results.

Beyond traditional surgical interventions, Dr. Pooja is a certified specialist in Laser Dermatology, a discipline that has revolutionized skin rejuvenation and scar management. She utilizes a portfolio of FDA‑approved laser systems, including fractional CO₂ lasers, pulsed dye lasers, and intense pulsed light (IPL) devices, to address a spectrum of dermatologic concerns such as hyperpigmentation, vascular lesions, and textural irregularities. Her laser protocols are meticulously customized based on each patient’s skin type, lesion depth, and desired outcome, ensuring optimal efficacy while mitigating the risk of adverse events. Moreover, she integrates adjunctive therapies—such as platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) and growth factor serums—to accelerate tissue regeneration and enhance the overall aesthetic effect. This multifaceted approach underscores her ability to blend surgical precision with non‑invasive technologies, offering patients comprehensive solutions that meet both their immediate and long‑term aesthetic aspirations.
