Jenkin earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, an institution renowned for its rigorous curriculum and emphasis on research-driven clinical practice. During his tenure at UW, he distinguished himself academically, graduating with honors and receiving multiple awards for scholarly contributions to the fields of anatomy and regenerative medicine. His clinical rotations were marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence, particularly in surgical disciplines where he demonstrated a natural aptitude for fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and an innate understanding of tissue dynamics. The University of Washington’s integrated approach to medical education—blending basic sciences with early patient exposure—provided Dr. Jenkin with a solid foundation in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and the ethical dimensions of patient care, all of which continue to inform his practice today.

Following medical school, Dr. Jenkin completed a demanding residency in dermatology, where he honed his expertise in skin pathology, cosmetic procedures, and laser technologies. His residency program placed a strong emphasis on both clinical acumen and procedural competence, allowing him to master a wide spectrum of dermatologic surgeries ranging from Mohs micrographic surgery to complex reconstructive techniques. Throughout his residency, Dr. Jenkin was recognized for his meticulous attention to detail, earning the Resident of the Year award for his contributions to patient safety initiatives and his role in developing a department‑wide protocol for infection control. His commitment to scholarly activity was evident in multiple peer‑reviewed publications that explored novel approaches to scar management and the integration of emerging laser modalities into routine practice.

To further refine his surgical skill set, Dr. Jenkin pursued a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at a leading academic center, where he immersed himself in the nuanced art of aesthetic transformation. This fellowship offered exposure to high‑volume, complex cases, including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and microsurgical reconstruction. Under the mentorship of internationally recognized surgeons, Dr. Jenkin mastered advanced techniques such as deep plane facelifts, perforator flap procedures, and the use of autologous fat grafting for both volumetric enhancement and scar revision. He also completed specialized training in laser-assisted skin resurfacing, acquiring proficiency in fractional CO₂ laser, pulsed dye laser, and emerging non‑ablative technologies. This comprehensive training equipped Dr. Jenkin with a versatile surgical arsenal, enabling him to address a broad array of aesthetic and reconstructive challenges with confidence and precision.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Jenkin’s surgical portfolio is distinguished by a seamless integration of dermatologic and plastic surgical principles, allowing him to deliver comprehensive aesthetic solutions that address both surface and structural concerns. In the realm of dermatology, he excels in cosmetic dermatology procedures such as dermal filler placement, neuromodulator injections, and chemical peels, each performed with a nuanced understanding of facial anatomy and tissue dynamics. His expertise extends to the management of pigmentary disorders, vascular lesions, and scar remodeling, where he employs a combination of laser therapy, microneedling, and targeted pharmacologic agents to achieve optimal results. Dr. Jenkin’s deep knowledge of skin biology informs his approach to pre‑ and post‑procedure care, ensuring that patients receive individualized treatment plans that minimize downtime and maximize aesthetic benefit.

Laser surgery constitutes a cornerstone of Dr. Jenkin’s practice, where he utilizes state‑of‑the‑art platforms to address a spectrum of dermatologic and aesthetic concerns. His proficiency with fractional CO₂ lasers enables precise resurfacing of photo‑aged skin, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and textural irregularities while preserving surrounding tissue integrity. For vascular lesions and rosacea, he employs pulsed dye lasers with calibrated pulse durations and fluences that selectively target hemoglobin, achieving remarkable clearance with minimal adverse effects. In the treatment of skin cancers, Dr. Jenkin leverages high‑resolution imaging and laser ablation techniques to excise superficial basal cell carcinomas and actinic keratoses, often in conjunction with Mohs surgery to ensure complete oncologic clearance. This dual competency in cosmetic and oncologic laser applications underscores his commitment to delivering safe, effective, and aesthetically pleasing outcomes across a broad patient population.

Beyond dermatologic interventions, Dr. Jenkin’s expertise in plastic surgery encompasses facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and reconstructive procedures. He routinely performs advanced facial lifts, including deep plane and SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) techniques, which restore youthful contour while preserving natural facial expressions. In body contouring, he offers a range of liposuction modalities—tumescent, ultrasound‑assisted, and laser‑assisted—to sculpt the abdomen, thighs, and flanks with meticulous attention to fat distribution and skin retraction. His reconstructive acumen shines in cases of skin cancer excision, where he utilizes local flaps, skin grafts, and tissue expansion to restore form and function with minimal donor site morbidity. Each surgical plan is meticulously crafted, drawing upon his comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, wound healing, and aesthetic principles to achieve outcomes that are both functionally sound and visually harmonious.
