After medical school, Dr. Killion embarked on a highly competitive residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery, where he honed his technical expertise under the mentorship of some of the nation’s most respected surgeons. His residency training involved a comprehensive exposure to complex craniofacial reconstruction, microsurgical techniques, and aesthetic facial procedures. He distinguished himself by mastering the art of tissue handling, vascular anastomosis, and innovative flap design, earning accolades for both his operative dexterity and his scholarly contributions. Throughout his residency, Dr. Killion actively participated in national conferences, presented original research on scar modulation, and authored peer‑reviewed articles that have been cited extensively in the plastic surgery literature. This blend of academic scholarship and hands‑on surgical mastery positioned him as a thought leader poised to advance the field of plastic surgery.

Dr. Killion’s surgical repertoire spans the full continuum of plastic surgery, encompassing cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic disciplines with equal proficiency. In the realm of cosmetic surgery, he is celebrated for his ability to sculpt facial harmony through rhinoplasty, facelifts, and eyelid procedures that respect the patient’s natural anatomy while achieving rejuvenated, youthful appearances. His approach to facial aesthetics is grounded in a deep understanding of facial proportions, skeletal structure, and soft‑tissue dynamics, allowing him to create results that are subtle yet impactful. Patients frequently commend his meticulous attention to detail, noting that his work preserves individuality and avoids the “over‑done” look that can plague less experienced practitioners.

Reconstructive surgery forms the cornerstone of Dr. Killion’s practice, where he applies his expertise to restore function and form for patients affected by trauma, congenital anomalies, or oncologic resections. Whether performing complex microsurgical free‑flap transfers to rebuild mandibular defects, or orchestrating multi‑stage breast reconstruction following mastectomy, he integrates cutting‑edge techniques with a compassionate bedside manner. His proficiency in flap selection, vascular anastomosis, and postoperative monitoring ensures optimal graft viability and minimizes complications. Moreover, Dr. Killion has pioneered innovative protocols for scar management, employing laser therapy, silicone sheeting, and emerging biologic agents to enhance wound healing and reduce hypertrophic scarring.

Beyond individual procedures, Dr. Killion excels in comprehensive aesthetic planning, offering patients integrated solutions that address multiple concerns in a single operative session. He frequently combines facial rejuvenation with body contouring, employing techniques such as abdominoplasty, liposuction, and gluteal augmentation to achieve balanced, harmonious results. His surgical philosophy emphasizes the preservation of natural contours, the strategic placement of incisions to conceal scarring, and the utilization of minimally invasive methods whenever feasible. By staying abreast of the latest advancements—including robotic‑assisted surgery, 3‑D printing of patient‑specific implants, and regenerative medicine—Dr. Killion continually expands the horizons of what is surgically possible, delivering outcomes that set new standards of excellence in the field.
