Rigorous Medical Education and Training
Dr. Lewman earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon, an institution renowned for its integrative curriculum that blends conventional biomedical sciences with holistic health principles. Her academic journey at NUNM was distinguished by a rigorous coursework regimen that encompassed advanced anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical nutrition, complemented by extensive hands‑on training in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and therapeutic interventions. Throughout her studies, she consistently achieved top honors, reflecting both her intellectual acuity and her dedication to mastering the complexities of human health.
Following her graduation, Dr. Lewman pursued a series of specialized residencies and fellowships that deepened her expertise in aesthetic medicine. She completed a prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship at a leading academic medical center, where she refined her technical skills in facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and minimally invasive procedures. During this fellowship, she was mentored by world‑renowned plastic surgeons who emphasized precision, safety, and the ethical considerations inherent to cosmetic practice. Her training also included extensive exposure to state‑of‑the‑art laser technologies, injectables, and regenerative therapies, allowing her to develop a comprehensive skill set that seamlessly integrates surgical and non‑surgical modalities.
In addition to her formal training, Dr. Lewman has participated in numerous continuing medical education (CME) programs that focus on the latest advancements in aesthetic science. She holds certifications in advanced dermal filler techniques, neurotoxin administration, and platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) therapy, each obtained through rigorous assessment and hands‑on evaluation. Her commitment to lifelong learning is further evidenced by her active involvement in professional societies, where she contributes to the development of clinical guidelines and shares her insights through peer‑reviewed publications. This extensive educational foundation equips Dr. Lewman with the depth of knowledge and technical proficiency required to deliver superior aesthetic outcomes in her Tualatin practice.
Surgical Expertise
Dr. Lewman’s surgical repertoire encompasses a broad spectrum of aesthetic interventions, each performed with meticulous attention to detail and a patient‑centered focus. Her expertise in neurotoxin administration includes both Botox and Dysport, where she employs precise dosing strategies to achieve natural‑looking relaxation of targeted facial muscles. By customizing injection patterns to each individual's facial anatomy, she minimizes the risk of over‑correction while enhancing the subtle dynamism that defines a youthful appearance. Her nuanced understanding of neurotoxin diffusion rates and patient-specific muscle activity enables her to deliver results that are both safe and aesthetically harmonious.
In the realm of dermal fillers, Dr. Lewman is proficient with a wide array of hyaluronic acid products, calcium hydroxylapatite, and poly‑L‑lactic acid (Sculptra) to address volume loss, contour irregularities, and skin laxity. Her technique emphasizes layered placement, strategic vectoring, and meticulous aspiration to avoid vascular compromise, thereby ensuring optimal tissue integration and sustained results. With Sculptra, she orchestrates a gradual collagen‑stimulating process that revitalizes the skin’s structural framework, offering patients a long‑lasting, natural rejuvenation that evolves over months. Her mastery of filler dynamics allows her to sculpt the nose, lips, cheeks, and jawline with a sculptor’s precision, achieving harmonious enhancements that respect each patient’s unique facial architecture.
Beyond injectables, Dr. Lewman incorporates regenerative and laser therapies to complement surgical outcomes and promote overall skin health. She utilizes platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) to harness the body’s own growth factors, facilitating tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and stimulating collagen synthesis. In conjunction with laser treatments—such as fractional resurfacing, intense pulsed light (IPL), and non‑ablative radiofrequency—she addresses pigmentary concerns, vascular lesions, and textural irregularities, creating a comprehensive aesthetic plan that transcends isolated procedures. Her expertise in light therapy further augments skin rejuvenation by enhancing cellular metabolism and reducing oxidative stress, thereby delivering a radiant, youthful complexion that endures.
Commitment to Patient Safety
Patient safety is the cornerstone of Dr. Lewman’s practice, a principle reinforced by her active membership in the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). Through this affiliation, she adheres to stringent ethical standards, evidence‑based protocols, and a continuous quality improvement framework that ensures every procedure is performed within the highest safety parameters. Her involvement with the AANP also provides her with access to a network of interdisciplinary experts, fostering collaborative approaches to patient care that prioritize holistic well‑being alongside aesthetic goals.
Dr. Lewman’s dedication to safety is further exemplified by her accreditation with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), an organization that rigorously evaluates practitioner competence in aesthetic techniques. As a recognized member of the AAAM, she undergoes regular peer reviews, attends specialized workshops, and participates in outcome tracking initiatives that collectively elevate the standard of care. Her commitment to excellence was publicly acknowledged when she was honored as a Top Aesthetic Provider in 2023, a distinction that reflects her superior clinical performance, patient satisfaction scores, and adherence to best practice guidelines.
In addition to institutional recognitions, Dr. Lewman’s expertise in neurotoxin administration earned her the prestigious Best Botox Injector Award in 2022. The award underscores her ability to deliver consistent, natural results while maintaining an uncompromising safety record.
