Dr. Keon Parsa - Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills, CA

Rigorous Medical Education and Training

Dr. Kean Parsa earned his medical doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine, an institution renowned for its rigorous curriculum and emphasis on integrative health sciences. At Georgetown, he distinguished himself academically, graduating in the top quintile of his class while simultaneously contributing to groundbreaking research on tissue regeneration and scar modulation. His thesis, which explored the molecular pathways involved in collagen remodeling after facial trauma, earned the prestigious Dean’s Award for Research Innovation and laid a scientific foundation for his later work in facial rejuvenation. Throughout his medical school years, Dr. Parsa pursued a series of elective rotations that exposed him to a wide spectrum of surgical specialties, but it was the exposure to reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery that ignited his lifelong passion for sculpting the human form.

Following his graduation, Dr. Parsa completed a highly competitive residency in general surgery at a leading academic medical center, where he refined his operative dexterity and deepened his understanding of peri‑operative physiology. The residency provided him with a robust grounding in complex abdominal procedures, trauma care, and critical care management, experiences that later proved invaluable when addressing the intricate vascular and nerve considerations inherent in facial plastic surgery. During his residency, Dr. Parsa was selected for an elite research fellowship that allowed him to investigate the role of stem‑cell therapy in wound healing, resulting in several peer‑reviewed publications that continue to be cited in contemporary plastic surgery literature.

To specialize further, Dr. Parsa pursued a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at a world‑renowned institute in New York City, where he trained under several of the most influential surgeons in the field. This fellowship emphasized both traditional techniques—such as sub‑muscular dissections and osteotomies—and cutting‑edge minimally invasive technologies, including endoscopic platforms and laser‑assisted resurfacing. He completed a rigorous case log of over 300 facial procedures, mastering the delicate balance required to achieve natural‑looking outcomes. In addition to operative training, his fellowship incorporated extensive coursework on facial anatomy, aesthetic principles, and patient communication, ensuring a holistic approach that integrates technical skill with empathetic care. The comprehensive nature of his training equips Dr. Parsa with the confidence and competence to tackle the most challenging cases in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Parsa’s surgical repertoire is distinguished by his mastery of facial plastic surgery, an area where precision, artistic vision, and an intimate knowledge of facial neurovascular anatomy converge. He is particularly renowned for his work in rhinoplasty, where he employs a blend of open and closed techniques to achieve structural harmony while preserving the unique character of each patient’s nose. His approach to nasal reconstruction incorporates advanced cartilage grafting methods and three‑dimensional imaging to pre‑visualize outcomes, thereby minimizing intra‑operative surprises and optimizing postoperative satisfaction. In addition to rhinoplasty, Dr. Parsa excels in otoplasty, brow lifts, and complex facial fracture repairs, employing a patient‑centered methodology that emphasizes minimal scarring and rapid recovery.

One of Dr. Parsa’s signature procedures is the deep plane facelift, a technique that addresses the underlying muscular and fascial layers of the mid‑face to produce a natural, long‑lasting lift. By releasing the deep muscular attachments and repositioning the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) in conjunction with meticulous tissue redraping, he achieves a rejuvenated appearance without the “over‑done” look that can accompany more superficial lifts. His deep plane facelift outcomes are consistently documented through before‑and‑after imaging, demonstrating a harmonious restoration of facial volume, contour, and skin elasticity. Moreover, Dr. Parsa integrates adjunctive technologies such as radiofrequency tightening and platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) therapy to augment the longevity of his results, providing patients with a comprehensive rejuvenation plan that extends beyond the operating theater.

Beyond facial surgery, Dr. Parsa is a board‑certified specialist in aesthetic plastic surgery, with a portfolio that encompasses breast augmentation, mastopexy, and body contouring procedures. His breast surgery practice is characterized by a nuanced approach to implant selection, placement, and incision technique, ensuring that each patient’s breast profile reflects both functional comfort and aesthetic proportionality. He is adept at performing both subglandular and submuscular implant placements, as well as the increasingly popular pre‑pectoral approach, which offers reduced postoperative pain and a more natural aesthetic contour. In addition to breast procedures, Dr. Parsa performs tummy tucks, liposuction, and thigh lifts, employing advanced liposuction technologies such as ultrasound‑assisted and laser‑assisted systems to achieve smooth, even results with minimal postoperative downtime. His comprehensive expertise across the spectrum of aesthetic surgery positions him as a one‑stop destination for patients seeking transformative yet subtle enhancements.

Commitment to Patient Safety

Dr. Parsa’s unwavering dedication to patient safety is reflected in his active involvement with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), where he serves on multiple safety committees focused on developing evidence‑based guidelines for peri‑operative care. Through his work with ASPS, he has contributed to the formulation of standardized protocols for infection prophylaxis, venous thromboembolism risk assessment, and postoperative pain management, ensuring that his patients benefit from the most current, rigorously vetted practices. Additionally, his membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada underscores his commitment to maintaining a global perspective on safety standards, as he regularly participates in cross‑border conferences that examine emerging risks and mitigation strategies in aesthetic surgery.

Internationally, Dr. Parsa is a distinguished member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), an organization that promotes the exchange of best practices and fosters a culture of continuous improvement among surgeons worldwide. His contributions to ISAPS include presenting at the annual congress on the outcomes of combined deep plane facelifts with adjunctive PRP therapy, a study that demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in postoperative bruising and swelling. The impact of his research was recognized in 2022 when he received the Best Cosmetic Surgeon Award, an accolade that celebrates excellence in surgical innovation, patient satisfaction, and safety metrics. This award not only validates his technical prowess but also highlights his relentless pursuit of safer, more effective aesthetic solutions.

In 2023, Dr. Parsa was honored as one of the Top 100 Plastic Surgeons in North America, a distinction that evaluates surgeons based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including complication rates, patient-reported outcomes, and adherence to ethical standards. This recognition reflects his meticulous attention to detail, from the pre‑operative assessment—including thorough medical history review, allergy testing, and risk stratification—to the post‑operative follow‑up regimen that incorporates advanced wound monitoring technologies and personalized rehabilitation protocols. By integrating these safety pillars into every facet of his practice, Dr. Parsa ensures that his patients receive care that is not only aesthetically superior but also grounded in the highest standards of clinical safety.
