Rigorous Medical Education and Training

Dr. Quinn’s academic odyssey began at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree with honors, distinguishing herself through a series of research projects that explored the molecular mechanisms of wound contraction and scar formation. While at the College, she served as a teaching assistant for anatomy labs, honing her ability to convey complex three‑dimensional concepts to peers—a skill that later translated into her meticulous pre‑operative planning sessions with patients. Her scholarly pursuits were complemented by a series of clinical rotations that exposed her to a broad spectrum of surgical disciplines, from trauma surgery to reconstructive microsurgery, solidifying her resolve to specialize in the nuanced field of plastic surgery.

Following medical school, Dr. Quinn pursued a highly competitive residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at a nationally recognized academic medical center, where she refined her operative dexterity under the mentorship of pioneers in aesthetic refinement and microsurgical reconstruction. During her residency, she completed a series of fellowships that broadened her expertise: a dedicated breast surgery fellowship that deepened her understanding of oncologic reconstruction, a hand surgery fellowship that equipped her with intricate microsurgical skills, and a research fellowship that resulted in several peer‑reviewed publications on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Each of these experiences contributed to a well‑rounded skill set that enables her to address complex reconstructive challenges with confidence and creativity.

In addition to her formal training, Dr. Quinn has continuously pursued lifelong learning through attendance at international conferences, participation in hands‑on workshops, and certification in advanced technologies such as laser resurfacing, radiofrequency skin tightening, and 3‑D printed surgical guides. Her commitment to staying at the forefront of surgical innovation is evident in her active involvement in academic societies, where she frequently presents case studies and contributes to consensus guidelines that shape the future of plastic surgery. This relentless pursuit of knowledge ensures that her patients benefit from the most current, evidence‑based techniques available.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Quinn’s surgical repertoire spans the full spectrum of plastic surgery, encompassing aesthetic refinements, reconstructive solutions, and functional restorations. In the realm of aesthetic plastic surgery, she is renowned for her meticulous breast augmentation, reduction, and lift procedures, where she employs a patient‑centered approach to achieve natural, harmonious results that reflect each individual’s body proportions. Her mastery of implant selection, pocket placement, and soft‑tissue management allows her to deliver outcomes that are both durable and aesthetically pleasing, with a focus on minimizing complications such as capsular contracture and implant malposition. She also excels in facial rejuvenation, employing a combination of facelifts, eyelid surgery, and non‑invasive modalities to restore youthful contours while preserving the unique characteristics that define each patient’s identity.

When it comes to reconstructive breast surgery, Dr. Quinn’s expertise shines through her work with patients who have undergone mastectomy for breast cancer. She utilizes a blend of autologous tissue techniques, such as DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap reconstruction, and implant‑based strategies to create natural‑looking breasts that restore both form and function. Her dedication to oncologic patients extends beyond the operating room; she collaborates closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams to coordinate timing of adjuvant therapies, ensuring that surgical reconstruction does not impede the overall treatment plan. Her sensitive handling of these cases has earned her the gratitude of countless survivors who view her as a vital partner in their journey toward renewed confidence.

In the specialized arena of hand surgery, Dr. Quinn applies microsurgical precision to treat complex injuries ranging from nerve transections to tendon repairs and vascular reconstructions. Her fluency with intricate techniques such as nerve grafting, tendon transfer, and bone fixation enables her to restore functional dexterity and alleviate chronic pain for patients whose livelihoods depend on fine motor skills. She integrates comprehensive rehabilitation protocols, collaborating with occupational therapists to optimize outcomes and reduce the risk of stiffness or contracture. This interdisciplinary approach has positioned her as a sought‑after surgeon for both acute trauma cases and chronic degenerative conditions, where her ability to balance functional restoration with aesthetic considerations sets her apart.

Commitment to Patient Safety

Patient safety is the cornerstone of Dr. Quinn’s practice, a principle reinforced by her active memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Through her involvement with ASPS, she adheres to rigorous standards of clinical excellence, participates in peer‑reviewed quality improvement initiatives, and contributes to the development of practice guidelines that promote evidence‑based care. Her affiliation with ACS further underscores her dedication to surgical safety protocols, including the implementation of perioperative checklists, infection control measures, and continuous outcome monitoring. These professional engagements ensure that every procedure she performs is grounded in the highest levels of safety and efficacy.

Dr. Quinn’s commitment to safety was publicly recognized when she received the Best Plastic Surgeon Award in 2022, an accolade bestowed by a panel of peers and patient advocates for her outstanding surgical outcomes, low complication rates, and compassionate patient care. This honor reflects not only her technical prowess but also her proactive approach to risk mitigation, which includes thorough pre‑operative assessments, personalized anesthesia plans, and meticulous intra‑operative monitoring. She routinely employs advanced imaging technologies to map vascular anatomy and utilizes intra‑operative fluorescence imaging to assess tissue perfusion, thereby minimizing the likelihood of postoperative ischemic complications.

Beyond accolades, Dr. Quinn has instituted a comprehensive patient safety program within her Janesville practice that incorporates regular multidisciplinary case conferences, real‑time data analytics, and post‑operative follow‑up pathways designed to identify and address complications promptly. She maintains an open line of communication with patients, encouraging them to report any concerns immediately, and she has established a rapid response team that includes nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and surgical assistants to intervene at the first sign of an adverse event. This culture of vigilance and transparency has resulted in consistently high patient satisfaction scores and a reputation for delivering care that prioritizes both safety and aesthetic excellence.
