Surgical Expertise

Dr. Franco’s surgical repertoire spans the full continuum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, positioning him as a versatile practitioner capable of addressing a wide array of patient needs. In the realm of general surgery, his foundational training equips him with the skill set to manage complex abdominal and thoracic procedures, ensuring that any necessary adjunctive surgeries are performed with the highest degree of safety and precision. This background proves invaluable when coordinating multidisciplinary cases, such as oncologic resections that require simultaneous tumor removal and immediate reconstructive efforts.

Within plastic surgery, Dr. Franco has honed a comprehensive skill set that includes both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. His reconstructive expertise encompasses microsurgical free‑tissue transfer, allowing for the restoration of form and function after traumatic injuries, congenital anomalies, or post‑mastectomy defects. He has performed countless successful DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap breast reconstructions, employing meticulous vascular anastomosis techniques that minimize donor‑site morbidity while achieving natural‑looking results. Additionally, Dr. Franco is adept at craniofacial reconstruction, employing sophisticated osteotomies and bone grafting to correct deformities and restore facial symmetry.

On the cosmetic side, Dr. Franco’s artistry shines through in procedures such as rhinoplasty, facelifts, and body contouring. His approach to facial rejuvenation integrates a deep understanding of facial anatomy with a subtle aesthetic sensibility, enabling him to achieve natural, harmonious outcomes that respect each patient’s unique facial structure. In breast augmentation and lift surgeries, he utilizes a personalized implant selection process—considering factors such as tissue thickness, chest wall dimensions, and patient lifestyle—to deliver results that balance proportion, projection, and comfort. His expertise in liposuction and abdominoplasty incorporates advanced techniques like power‑assist liposuction and progressive tension sutures, which reduce postoperative swelling and enhance scar quality.

Beyond individual procedures, Dr. Franco excels in comprehensive, staged reconstructive plans that address complex clinical scenarios. For patients requiring combined oncologic and aesthetic interventions, he orchestrates a seamless sequence of surgeries that prioritize oncologic safety while optimizing aesthetic outcomes. His collaborative mindset leads him to work closely with oncologists, radiation therapists, and physical therapists, ensuring an integrated care pathway that maximizes functional recovery and patient satisfaction. This breadth of expertise underscores his capacity to navigate the intricate balance between restorative necessity and aesthetic aspiration.
