Throughout her formative years, she distinguished herself as a leader in science clubs, debate teams, and community outreach programs, earning multiple academic honors and scholarships that recognized both her intellectual prowess and her commitment to societal betterment.

Following her exemplary performance at Vistation Academy, Dr. Figueroa earned admission to the prestigious University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila, Philippines, where she pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree. At UST, she immersed herself in a comprehensive medical curriculum that combined intensive basic science coursework with extensive clinical rotations across diverse specialties. Her time at UST was marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence; she graduated with honors, contributed to peer‑reviewed research on immunologic mechanisms in wound healing, and served as a tutor for undergraduate pre‑medical students. The rigorous training at UST not only solidified her clinical acumen but also sparked a lifelong fascination with the interplay between immunology and aesthetic medicine—a curiosity that would later define her unique surgical niche.

Driven by an ambition to integrate immunologic expertise with aesthetic surgery, Dr. Figueroa pursued a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. This fellowship provided her with a deep understanding of hypersensitivity reactions, immune modulation, and the molecular pathways that influence tissue regeneration and scar formation. Under the mentorship of world‑renowned allergists, she engaged in cutting‑edge clinical trials, authored multiple publications on the role of cytokines in postoperative recovery, and refined her skills in diagnostic testing, allergen desensitization, and patient counseling. The fellowship not only equipped her with a robust scientific foundation but also positioned her to pioneer innovative, immune‑guided approaches to cosmetic surgery, ensuring that her patients benefit from procedures that are both aesthetically refined and biologically harmonious.

Surgical Expertise

Drawing upon an unparalleled blend of allergy and immunology knowledge, Dr. Elyra Figueroa has cultivated a surgical repertoire that transcends conventional aesthetic medicine. By employing personalized allergen screening protocols, she minimizes the risk of adverse immune responses, thereby enhancing surgical safety and optimizing healing outcomes. This immunologic vigilance is especially critical in complex facial rejuvenation procedures, where even minor inflammatory complications can compromise aesthetic results and patient satisfaction.

In the realm of aesthetic medicine, Dr. Figueroa is celebrated for her mastery of facial contouring, breast augmentation, body sculpting, and minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques. She utilizes advanced three‑dimensional imaging to meticulously map each patient’s anatomy, enabling precise surgical planning and the ability to preview post‑operative results with remarkable accuracy. Her skillful execution of rhinoplasty, facelifts, and eyelid surgeries demonstrates an artistic eye for symmetry and proportion, while her dedication to preserving native tissue integrity reduces operative trauma and accelerates recovery. Moreover, she integrates emerging technologies such as autologous fat grafting enriched with stem cells, laser‑assisted skin tightening, and injectable biostimulatory agents to achieve natural, long‑lasting enhancements that harmonize with each patient’s unique facial architecture.

Beyond traditional cosmetic procedures, Dr. Figueroa’s proficiency extends to the burgeoning field of cosmetic medicine, where she applies evidence‑based interventions to address skin quality, volume loss, and age‑related changes. She expertly administers neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, and platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) therapies, tailoring each treatment to the individual’s physiologic profile and aesthetic goals. Her deep understanding of immunologic pathways allows her to anticipate and manage potential inflammatory responses to these agents, ensuring that patients experience minimal downtime and maximal aesthetic benefit. By fusing her immunologic insight with artistic precision, Dr. Figueroa delivers a comprehensive suite of surgical and non‑surgical solutions that redefine the standards of aesthetic excellence.
