Rigorous Medical Education and Training

Dr. Iannetti earned his medical degree from Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School, where he distinguished himself not only through academic excellence but also through a profound curiosity for the intersection of anatomy, aesthetics, and patient well‑being. While at Brown, he pursued a dual focus, immersing himself in both the rigorous scientific foundations of surgery and the nuanced, patient‑focused aspects of cosmetic medicine. His senior thesis explored the long‑term psychosocial impact of facial reconstructive procedures, a project that earned him the Dean’s Award for Research Innovation and set the stage for his future dedication to outcomes that extend beyond the operating table.

Following his MD, Dr. Iannetti completed a demanding General Surgery residency at a high‑volume tertiary care center, where he refined his technical precision, honed his decision‑making under pressure, and mastered the management of complex surgical pathology. His residency mentors recognized his innate talent for meticulous dissection, his steady composure in emergent scenarios, and his natural ability to mentor junior residents, attributes that would later become hallmarks of his own teaching philosophy. During this period, he also contributed to several peer‑reviewed publications on peri‑operative protocols, underscoring his commitment to evidence‑based practice.

To specialize further, Dr. Iannetti pursued a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at a renowned institute that emphasized both aesthetic principles and advanced technology integration. Here, he cultivated expertise in facial contouring, body sculpting, and the latest non‑invasive rejuvenation techniques. He completed additional advanced training in facial cosmetic surgery, focusing on rhinoplasty, facelifts, and eyelid reconstruction, where he learned to balance artistic vision with functional preservation. This layered educational journey—MD, general surgery residency, cosmetic surgery fellowship, and facial cosmetic specialization—provides the foundation for his comprehensive, multidimensional approach to patient care.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Iannetti’s surgical repertoire spans the full spectrum of general, cosmetic, and facial procedures, each performed with a precision that reflects his extensive training and relentless pursuit of excellence. In general surgery, he has managed a wide array of abdominal, thoracic, and vascular cases, gaining a deep understanding of tissue handling, hemostasis, and the importance of meticulous intra‑operative planning. This broad exposure equips him with a robust skill set that informs his aesthetic work, allowing him to anticipate and mitigate potential complications that might arise from deeper anatomical considerations.

In the realm of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Iannetti has become a trusted name for patients seeking transformative yet natural results. His expertise includes breast augmentation and reduction, body contouring via liposuction and abdominoplasty, and a suite of minimally invasive procedures such as injectable fillers and laser resurfacing. He meticulously tailors each intervention to the patient’s unique body geometry, employing three‑dimensional imaging and computer‑assisted planning to achieve symmetry, proportion, and longevity. His commitment to safety is evident in his adoption of enhanced recovery protocols, which reduce postoperative pain, shorten hospital stays, and accelerate return to daily activities.

Facial cosmetic surgery represents the pinnacle of Dr. Iannetti’s artistic and technical abilities. He performs complex rhinoplasties, facelifts, brow lifts, and eyelid surgeries with an emphasis on preserving natural facial dynamics while addressing patient‑specific concerns. By integrating concepts from craniofacial reconstruction, he is able to execute procedures that not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also restore or improve functional outcomes such as airway patency and visual fields. His work in facial rejuvenation incorporates the latest advances in fat grafting, thread lifts, and energy‑based devices, ensuring that each patient benefits from the most current, minimally invasive options available.

Commitment to Patient Safety

Dr. Iannetti’s dedication to patient safety is reflected in his active involvement with the American College of Surgeons (ACS), where he has earned the distinction of being a Board‑Certified Surgeon and a frequent contributor to ACS safety initiatives. He regularly participates in ACS workshops on surgical ergonomics, infection control, and peri‑operative risk assessment, translating these standards into rigorous protocols within his own practice. His commitment to continuous quality improvement has resulted in a practice environment that consistently exceeds national benchmarks for surgical site infection rates and postoperative complication metrics.

In 2015, Dr. Iannetti was honored with the Outstanding Surgeon Award, a recognition bestowed upon surgeons who demonstrate exceptional skill, ethical practice, and leadership in patient safety. This award highlighted his implementation of a comprehensive pre‑operative screening program that incorporates cardiovascular risk stratification, detailed anesthetic planning, and patient education modules. The program has been credited with a measurable reduction in intra‑operative adverse events and has become a model for peer institutions seeking to emulate his safety‑first philosophy.

The Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery Award in 2020 further cemented his reputation as a surgeon who balances aesthetic ambition with uncompromising safety standards. That year, Dr. Iannetti introduced a novel, evidence‑based protocol for managing postoperative edema and bruising, utilizing a combination of pharmacologic agents, lymphatic drainage techniques, and patient‑guided activity regimens. This protocol not only accelerated recovery times but also minimized the incidence of postoperative scarring, underscoring his commitment to delivering results that are both beautiful and durable. His ongoing research into surgical safety continues to be published in leading peer‑reviewed journals, influencing best practices across the specialty.
