Dr. David A. Weinberg - Plastic Surgeon in Concord, NH

Rigorous Medical Education and Training

David A. Weinberg earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from a prestigious medical school, where he distinguished himself academically and demonstrated an early passion for the evolving field of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. During his undergraduate years, he pursued a rigorous pre‑medical curriculum, excelling in anatomy, physiology, and biomedical sciences, which laid a solid foundation for his subsequent medical studies. In medical school, Dr. Weinberg was a consistent presence on the honors list, participated in numerous research projects, and contributed to peer‑reviewed publications that explored innovative techniques in tissue engineering and wound healing.

Following the completion of his MD, Dr. Weinberg entered a highly competitive residency program in general surgery, where he honed his operative dexterity, learned comprehensive patient management, and cultivated an acute understanding of peri‑operative care. His residency was marked by a series of rotations that exposed him to complex abdominal, thoracic, and vascular procedures, each reinforcing his meticulous attention to detail and his capacity to perform under pressure. Throughout this period, he earned commendations for his leadership in multidisciplinary teams and his ability to mentor junior residents, attributes that foreshadowed his future role as an educator and thought leader in plastic surgery.

The culmination of his formal training was a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at a nationally recognized academic center. This fellowship provided Dr. Weinberg with intensive exposure to both microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetic procedures, allowing him to master the delicate balance between functional restoration and cosmetic enhancement. Under the mentorship of renowned surgeons, he refined his expertise in breast reconstruction, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring, and completed a series of scholarly projects that investigated patient satisfaction metrics and long‑term outcomes. The comprehensive training he received equipped him with a rare blend of technical mastery, scientific curiosity, and compassionate patient care that continues to define his practice today.

Surgical Expertise

Dr. Weinberg’s surgical repertoire is anchored by three cornerstone procedures—breast augmentation, liposuction, and abdominoplasty (commonly referred to as a “tummy tuck”). In breast augmentation, he combines a deep understanding of breast anatomy with an artistic eye for proportion, employing a range of implant options—including silicone gel, saline, and cohesive gel—to achieve results that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally harmonious. He meticulously evaluates each patient’s chest wall dimensions, skin quality, and lifestyle considerations, selecting incision sites and implant placements that minimize scarring while optimizing breast shape and symmetry. His commitment to safety is evident in his thorough pre‑operative planning, utilization of advanced imaging modalities, and adherence to evidence‑based postoperative protocols.

Liposuction, another pillar of his practice, is performed with a focus on sculpting the body’s natural contours rather than merely removing fat. Dr. Weinberg employs state‑of‑the‑art technologies such as power‑assist and ultrasonic-assisted liposuction, which allow for precise fat emulsification, reduced trauma to surrounding tissues, and expedited recovery times. He tailors each liposuction plan to the patient’s unique adipose distribution, targeting areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, and arms to achieve a balanced, harmonious silhouette. His technique emphasizes meticulous hemostasis, careful preservation of vital structures, and strategic re‑contouring that respects the patient’s natural lines and proportions.

Abdominoplasty, a complex procedure that addresses abdominal laxity, excess skin, and weakened musculature, showcases Dr. Weinberg’s expertise in both functional restoration and aesthetic refinement. He performs comprehensive assessments that include detailed physical examinations, imaging studies, and candid discussions about lifestyle goals. During the operation, he meticulously plicates the rectus abdominis muscles, excises redundant skin, and repositions the umbilicus to create a flat, toned abdomen with a seamless scar line. His approach integrates adjunctive procedures—such as liposuction of adjacent areas or fleur‑de‑lis extensions—when appropriate, to deliver a cohesive, sculpted outcome. Post‑operative care is managed with a structured regimen of compression garments, activity guidelines, and follow‑up visits that ensure optimal healing and patient satisfaction.

Commitment to Patient Safety

Patient safety is the cornerstone of Dr. Weinberg’s practice, a principle that is reinforced by his active involvement with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). As a board‑certified member of the ASPS, he adheres to the organization’s rigorous standards for surgical excellence, continuing education, and ethical conduct. He regularly participates in ASPS‑sponsored workshops, webinars, and peer‑reviewed conferences, staying abreast of the latest advancements in surgical technique, anesthesia safety, and postoperative care. This engagement ensures that his operative protocols are consistently aligned with the most current evidence‑based guidelines, providing patients with the highest level of protection and confidence.

In recognition of his unwavering dedication to patient-centered outcomes, Dr. Weinberg was honored with the prestigious Patient Choice Award, an accolade that reflects his commitment to delivering compassionate care, transparent communication, and superior surgical results. The award is based on comprehensive patient surveys that evaluate factors such as bedside manner, clarity of pre‑operative counseling, responsiveness to concerns, and overall satisfaction with the surgical experience. Receiving this award underscores his reputation as a surgeon who not only achieves excellent aesthetic outcomes but also prioritizes the emotional well‑being and comfort of each individual he serves.

Beyond accolades, Dr. Weinberg has instituted a suite of safety protocols within his Concord office that exceed standard regulatory requirements. These include pre‑operative multidisciplinary case reviews, utilization of an accredited ambulatory surgery center equipped with advanced monitoring systems, and a robust infection‑control program that incorporates antimicrobial stewardship and sterile technique audits. He also maintains a comprehensive emergency response plan, ensuring rapid access to specialized care should any unforeseen complication arise. By fostering a culture of vigilance, continuous improvement, and patient empowerment, Dr. Weinberg creates an environment where safety is not an afterthought but an integral component of every surgical journey.
