His undergraduate experience was marked by extensive laboratory research, participation in interdisciplinary seminars, and a senior thesis that explored the role of growth factors in scar formation—a topic that would later become a cornerstone of his surgical practice. The rigorous scientific foundation he built during his undergraduate years equipped him with a critical mindset and an appreciation for evidence‑based medicine, both of which have guided his subsequent career trajectory.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Hassan pursued his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, graduating with his MD in 1990. Throughout medical school, he consistently ranked among the top percentile of his class, earning honors in anatomy, histology, and clinical pathology. His clinical rotations were marked by a particular affinity for surgical specialties, and he actively sought mentorship from leading surgeons who emphasized the importance of meticulous technique and patient safety. This intensive training spanned over a decade, during which he honed his operative skills across a spectrum of complex procedures, ranging from microsurgical free‑flap transfers to aesthetic facial refinements. He completed his fellowship in 1998, emerging as a board‑certified plastic surgeon with a comprehensive understanding of both functional reconstruction and cosmetic enhancement. Parallel to his cosmetic practice, Dr. Hassan is renowned for his reconstructive surgery capabilities, addressing complex defects resulting from trauma, oncologic resections, and congenital anomalies. He has performed high‑complexity microsurgical free‑flap reconstructions, utilizing tissue from the radial forearm, anterolateral thigh, and deep inferior epigastric artery to restore form and function in patients with extensive soft‑tissue loss. His reconstructive work extends to breast reconstruction, where he employs both implant‑based and autologous techniques, tailoring the approach to each patient’s oncologic history, body habitus, and personal preferences. Dr. Hassan’s dedication to restoring quality of life through meticulous reconstruction has earned him accolades from both peers and patients.

In addition to traditional open procedures, Dr. Hassan has embraced emerging technologies that enhance precision and patient recovery. He incorporates laser‑assisted resurfacing, radiofrequency skin tightening, and injectable fillers into his practice, offering less invasive alternatives for patients seeking subtle enhancements with reduced downtime. Moreover, he is an early adopter of three‑dimensional imaging and virtual surgical planning, tools that allow him to simulate outcomes, refine operative strategies, and communicate expectations with unparalleled clarity. This blend of artistic vision, technical dexterity, and technological innovation defines Dr. Hassan’s surgical expertise, positioning him as a leader in both aesthetic and reconstructive domains.
